Dr. Sarah Stewart was born in South Korea and adopted by a couple in Muskegon, Michigan where she was raised. After graduating as valedictorian of her high school, she attended Kalamazoo College where she studied health sciences and biology.
Her medical education was completed at Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago, Illinois. She then moved back to Michigan, where she finished her podiatric medicine and surgery residency training at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan. There she specialized in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. Dr. Stewart also has special interests in forefoot and rearfoot elective reconstructive surgery, diabetic and vascular wound care, sports medicine, pediatrics, and trauma.
Dr. Stewart also completed a podiatric dermatology and dermatopathology fellowship in Alpharetta, Georgia. In addition to continual studies and continuing medical education, she has also presented and lectured to her colleagues and other medical staff at several podiatric conferences.
She currently lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan with her husband and she enjoys painting, dancing, and being outdoors.
