Dr. Rebecca Sundling grew up in Plainwell, Michigan. After undergoing foot surgery in middle school, she decided to pursue podiatry as a career due to its combination of medical and surgical treatments and variety of issues she could treat. She attended Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, then graduated from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 2013. After completing her residency in Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Sundling spent a year earning her Master’s degree in Public Health at Dartmouth College before returning to West Michigan to practice.
Having grown up playing sports, Dr. Sundling has an interest in sports medicine as well as many other aspects of podiatry, including diabetic foot care and surgery.
Dr. Sundling is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, where she is also the Young Physician Member of their Board of Trustees. As a nationwide representative of young podiatrists, she heads the Young Physician Leadership Panel and sits on various related committees. Dr. Sundling is also a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association.
In her free time, Dr. Sundling enjoys competing in triathlons, skiing, traveling and crafting.
